Krecek "Mekarsari"

Industri rumah tangga Mekar Sari ialah industri rumah tangga yang bergerak pada pembuatan krecek singkong. Usaha ini dimulai bapak Tukimin sejak tahun 2000. Bapak Tukimin ialah pelopor produk krecek singkong. Pada awalnya bapak Tukimin berpikir untuk membuat produk dari singkong yang berbeda dari produk-produk yang sudah ada. Kemudian ketika sedang berada di ladang beliau mencoba mencacah-cacah singkong. Kemudian beliau mendapat ide untuk membuat kecek singkong.
Saat ini, bapak Tukimin bisa memroduksi hingga 1 kuintal per hari dengan memekerjakan 12 karyawan. Bahan baku yang digunakan diperoleh dari dusun payak dan sekitarnya. Industri rumah tangga Mekar Sari mengolah 1 kuintal singkong mentah menjadi 20 kg krecek singkong. Dalam penjualan, krecek singkong Mekar Sari dikemas dalam ukurang 0.5 kg. Krecek produk Mekar Sari di jual ke berbagai pusat oleh-oleh di Wonosari.


“Mekarsari” home industry is one of home industries that focused on krecek singkong (traditional cassava chip) in Payak. This industry has been running for 15 years. The owner of “Mekarsari” home industry is Mrs. Tukimin that also regarded as the first developer of traditional cassava chips in Payak. Motivated by the will to make a new innovation on cassava products, he started to make an experiment by slicing the cassavas from his farm into thin form then fried it. That experiment then inspired him in making traditional cassava chips called krecek singkong.
In a day, Mr. Tukimin and his staffs are able to produce 20 kilos of krecek singkong. The raw cassavas are taken from several farmers around Payak. To make 20 kilos of krecek singkong, a hundred kilos of fresh cassava are needed. Krecek Singkong “Mekarsari” can be found in finger food shops around Wonosari.
